FOR OVER 25 YEARS, EMILY was a lawyer and senior partner with a large firm in Vermont, where she built and managed a premier Trusts, Estates and Tax practice. Now, as an international consultant primarily based in Auckland, New Zealand, she provides tailored consulting services for law firms, lawyers and other professionals, focusing on non-technical skils that correlate with professional success; business development, communication, delegation, self presentation, leadership, team building/management and the like. Both as a lawyer who drafted estate planning documents that have withstood the test of time, and now as an executive consultant to lawyers, Emily brings a consistently high level of craftsmanship to her work.

EMILY CHAIRED THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS of Banknorth as well as chairing and serving on numerous not-for-profit boards including The James Wallace Foundation, Auckland, New Zealand, and The National Heart Foundation of Australia.

SHE RECEIVED HER JURIS DOCTORATE DEGREE WITH HONOURS from the Faculty of Law and Jurisprudence of the State University of New York, after completing her BA degree at Oberlin College with highest honours. In 2005, she completed the post-graduate program at the Georgetown Center for the Study of the Family, in Washington, D.C., where she studied the work of Murray Bowen, an internationally respected psychiatrist and group systems researcher.
